FAQ

1. What is Teletherapy?

  

Tele-Therapy is simply the use of technology to meet therapeutic needs of clients in a location different from the professional provider in real time, by Phone or video conferencing using secure means. It allows clients to get the emotional support needed regardless of mobility or distance.

2. Why participate in Therapy?

Therapy provides an opportunity to gain perspective as well as awareness of one’s inner self. The  Therapeutic process establishes a calm empathetic presence that promotes trust and self-realization. You can choose to take control of your emotional health through overcoming negative feelings by engaging in Therapy.

3. What are my Therapist Qualifications?

Our Therapist are Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois; with years of annual continuing education as required by law. They are well capable to serve their clients with integrity, competence, and compassion.

4. What are the Fees and Payments associated with my therapy?

  

· Most Health Insurance is Accepted 

· Your Insurance may require an out of pocket Deductible or Co-pay

· Private pay is also accepted via Credit or Debit Card

· Cost per Session: $250 Per Hour

5. How can I Contact my Therapist?

· You may call your Therapist Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (CST) at 1-312-268-6310, if no one is available your call will be returned within the hour; after business hours your call will be return the next business day.

· Existing Clients - contact your Therapist through the

 Client Portal at https://beverly-smith7877.clientsecure.me

6. Can I call my Therapist in an Emergency?

  

If you have an Emergency,please hang up and call 911 Fire or Police Department for the following:

1. If you are having thoughts of hurting yourself or others

2. If you are a minor under the care of a legal guardian and/or in danger

3. If you are in an urgent crisis or emergency situation  

7. Is my Privacy safeguarded?

  

Your privacy is important to us. As a Mental Health and Teletherapy provider Generations Therapy and Counseling LLC understands that your Privacy, Confidentiality and Rights under the Law are vitally important to you, as well as an ethical and integral part of our responsibility. We are proactive in taking measures to safeguard your information as our client by providing:

· Secure Encryption Internet connections

· Secure Telephone and Voice Mail Service

· Secure Video Conferencing

· Secure Client Portal for setting appointments and communicating information

· Secure Encryption Email

· Secure Cloud Based technology for maintaining your health information and billing records. 

We maintain compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)rules and regulations regarding your rights to privacy and confidentiality. We will annually send NOTICE of our Privacy Practices to all our Clients regarding their information, rights, as well as our responsibilities.
